Message: “How (Not) to Read the Bible” from Rev. Tom Hathaway

Rev. Tom Hathaway - August 1, 2021

How (Not) to Read the Bible

Most us take a roulette approach to Bible reading - we flip it open and leave it to chance that we'll land on something inspiring. In this sermon on 2 Timothy 3:14-17, Rev. Tom Hathaway debunks two common myths that make us think this roulette approach is a good one, then suggests a better way forward. HINT: It involves reading the Bible regularly, in community, and with a clear sense of its purpose in the life of faith.
