This past week I had opportunity to officiate not one, but TWO weddings. During the course of that busy, busy week, I was reminded of the tradition of the bride wearing something old and something new (not to mention something blue and something borrowed) down the aisle.
Over the next five weeks at NPU we’re going to take a “something old, something new” approach during worship as we walk through the Lord’s Prayer verse by verse.
What we will quickly realize in studying this oh-so-familiar prayer is how easy it is to say it every week without actually paying attention to the radical meaning of its words. What the heck does hallowed be your name mean anyways!?
The hope is that, as we step into this old prayer that Jesus taught his disciples, we might find something new and life-giving in it.
Can’t wait to see you on Sunday!
