WHY HILLSIDE?
WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT IN WORSHIP

Summer in the Psalms

The Psalms have been the church’s prayer book for three thousand years, and they got the job by refusing to pretend. Over four Sundays we’ll pray four very different psalms: awe under a sky too big for us, trust through the dark valley, thanksgiving for what we barely survived, and, yes, one Sunday of raw rage, because the Psalms give us permission to bring God even the prayers we’re ashamed of. Come pray the whole range with us.

Our Father Who Art In Heaven

What does it mean to pray, “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name”? We’ve all heard it, recited it, and maybe even memorized it—but have we really stopped to think about what it means? In this message, we dive into the first line of the Lord’s Prayer to explore how Jesus invites us into a relationship with God that is both intimate and awe-inspiring.

Scripture References: Matthew 6:7-9
