Most Sundays, there’s a script and someone who runs it. This Sunday is different.
The People’s Sunday is exactly what it sounds like: Hillside leads Hillside. The congregation runs the service — because the work of proclaiming God’s love has never belonged to one person at the front of the room. It belongs to all of us.
This year, Chelsea Alexander will be preaching. And beyond Chelsea’s sermon, we’re looking for a few people to fill some key roles:
- Light the candles and lead the Lord’s Prayer with the kids
- Write and lead the communion introduction
- Read scripture
- Write and offer the pastoral prayer
- Offer the benediction
No experience required. No audition. Just a willingness to show up and say the thing that needs saying.
