WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT IN WORSHIP

Heart for the House

Heart for the House is a series about what happens when we align our hearts with God’s hopes for the world — and choose to invest in a church that lives those hopes out loud. It’s about more than just money; it’s about trust, love, and the kind of generosity that fuels real ministry. Together, we’ll explore how our gifts — financial and otherwise — help build a community where compassion grows, justice takes root, and people encounter the love of God in tangible ways.

The Balance of Power

Power. We all have some. We'd all probably like little more. This final installment of our series on the Book of Esther will take us right into the heart of some big questions about power: What is it? Is it an okay thing for people of faith to seek after? At a moment in our country's history when it seems that so much is at stake and so much is up for grabs, these are timely questions for us to be asking!

Scripture References: Esther 7:1-10

OUR VISION

Grounded in Love

In a time of increasing partisanship and division, Hillside Community Church boldly imagines a world in which people of every race, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, gender expression, and sexual orientation can come together to meet, talk, listen, share, explore, and grow in love.

Each week, through worship that draws on the deepest insights of the Christian scriptures and through active programs of community service and outreach, the Hillside community works to build just such a world.

If you are looking to be part of an action-oriented, love-centered Christian community, we’d love to have you join us!
