Sunday Morning Worship

September 7, 2025 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Feel the love every Sunday at 10:30am!

Looking for a church that takes faith seriously but not literally? A place where you can breathe, question, laugh, and maybe even find meaning in the chaos? You’re invited to worship with Hillside Community Church – a progressive, inclusive Christian community where curiosity is holy, compassion is central, and nobody pretends to have it all together.

Expect thoughtful messages, good music, real talk, and a community that actually cares. We blend old and new – ancient wisdom and modern vibes – in a laid-back, come-as-you-are environment. Bring your doubts. Bring your coffee. Bring your whole self.

Shopping for Jesus

When Jesus's teachings get in the way, there are two options: go shopping for a version of Jesus who agrees with you, or be honest about the distance between his commands and where you actually are. A sermon on Matthew 5 and the command to love your enemies.

Scripture References: Matthew 5:38-39, Matthew 5:43-45

From Series: "Revolutionary Spirit"

250 years ago, the Bible was at the center of the argument for American revolution. Some texts fired people up. Others had to be argued around, twisted, and explained away. In this series we’re going back to those same texts — the inspiring ones and the uncomfortable ones — to ask what they actually say, what was done with them then, and what they still demand of us today.
