Let’s not sugarcoat it. Christianity has been used to prop up empires, justify oppression, and silence dissent. If you’re skeptical of church, you’ve got your reasons.
But the heart of this thing was never power. Never control. Jesus gathered broke fishermen, tax cheats, and doubters. He fed outcasts. He healed people nobody else would touch. He stood up to the powerful and said, “The last will be first.”
That’s the church we’re trying to be. Not perfect. Not popular. But stubbornly committed to love, justice, and radical belonging.
We gather because the world is starving for grace. Because someone has to imagine a better way to live. Because even in the rubble, God is still planting seeds of hope.
And maybe, just maybe, you’re part of that hope too!
