Bible Reading Plans

At Hillside Community Church, we like to think about the Bible as a campfire around which we gather on a weekly basis to talk about the things that matter most, and how we should live our lives in response to those things.

We offer a Bible reading plan to go along with each of our worship series. Some explore a particular book of the Bible while others explore a particular theme or topic. All are meant to help you make sense of the extraordinarily complex and extraordinarily wonderful set of writings that is the Bible.

Bad Girls of the Bible

While the Bible has numerous examples of “bad girls” – Eve, Jezebel, and Bathsheba, to name a few – their stories come to us through a just sentence here and paragraph there. Unfortunately, there’s not enough content about any one of them to offer an extended study. However, there are two not-so-bad girls who have entire books written about them: Ruth and Esther. This 6-week reading plan will lead you through the stories of these impressive women of faith.
